The SCE Event Group is proud to bring you another NJ wedding recap. This time with rockstar couple Johanna Nevarez and Dan Hageman who had their special day at The Channel Club in Monmouth Beach. The Channel Club, with its exclusive setting and waterfront location, offers couples the perfect spot for your once-in-a-lifetime celebration. They specialize in one wedding at a time. Whether you want to utilize the outside deck for your ceremony by the water to go along with a poolside cocktail hour, or take advantage of their beautiful bi-level facility, The Channel Club will accommodate you. Their attentive staff and exquisite cuisine will impress you and your guests.
SCE’s very own Tony Tee Neto provided the music and entertainment for the ceremony and the reception. Also taking care of the hosting for the evening, Tony Tee presented the wedding party with innovative introductions and music leaving the guests in awe. For the couple’s very first dance as husband and wife, Tony played Whatever it is by the Zac Brown Band. A song with a lot of emotion for such a special day. For the rest of the reception, Tony played an open format mix to encompass the diverse age range at the wedding. Everything from Oldies to Latin, Tony had the dance floor packed the entire evening.
Johanna and Dan had a vision of what they wanted for their big night, and we here at SCE made sure that vision came true. We do this by offering all types of options and packages to our clients, differentiating their big day from any other. The newlyweds chose Intelligent Lighting- Option 1, allowing us to spotlight Johanna & Dan’s First Dance. Also adding visual energy and movement to the ballroom. The second option being our famous Snapshot PhotoBooth, allowing the guests to take tons of fun pictures and help them make once-in-a-lifetime memories. The couple’s third option, Color Controlled Uplighting, helps any reception room, no matter how nice, look even better. It adds a beautiful modern touch to any event. And lastly, our bride and groom chose Ceremony Music. Local thunderstorms passing through at the wrong time forced a change in plans for Ceremony, so it was moved indoors. Tony adjusted to the unexpected event and everything went off perfectly.
Something interesting about the wedding was that the officiant fell horribly ill just hours before ceremony. Fred from Channel Club used every resource, including Tony's personal "rolodex" to find one. He did, with only a slight delay! After the few mishaps of the day, Tony grabbed the special couple and said “My goal is to make you forget all the little stuff that went wrong today, and make ONE UNFORGETTABLE NIGHT!"
An amazing moment from the evening...Johanna followed up the Parent Dances with a surprise dance with her Mom. She wanted to highlight their bond in addition to the traditional dance with Dad. So, Tony Tee dedicated "Because You Loved Me" by Celine Dion, as Johanna and her mom shared the truly beautiful moment together. We here at SCE live to make the special moments this one become a reality.
Special shout out to Fred Koechlin and the team at The Channel Club for helping everything go perfectly.
